Happy July 4th!!!!

This year we went to the lake to enjoy the 4th with my friend Reba.  She had a fantastic party with lots of food, family, and fun.  Eddie had 2 firsts last night!  He went swimming in the lake for the first time (man it was choppy!!!)  and also got to use sparklers! 

This is the one time he had absolutely no problem holding on to my hand! 

Yes, I had a matching shirt too, but this was after getting out of the lake.

He also got to do sparklers for the first time. 

We had a GREAT time watching the fireworks across the lake and from their neighbors. 

This was at about 10pm.  Both of them were WIDE AWAKE!!  Kate fell asleep on the way home, but Eddie waited until getting home.

Summer = Pool

     Eddie told me today that since it was summer we needed to go to the pool EVERY day!  Well, we have have been quite a few days, but not quite EVERY day!!

These pictures were from our favorite pool, Flemming Pool in The Woodlands. 

This is "THE bucket!"  There used to be a bell that goes off, but now you just have to watch for the wheel on the side to start turning to know when it's going to dump.  Eddie comes running... he loves to be right in the middle of the action.  In the first picture Eddie is sitting in the bottom middle of the picture.

I am SO EXCITED that Eddie is learning how to swim!  He has come so far this summer with us going to the pool "almost" everyday!  He has gotten so he can jump off, get himself turned around and swim back to the side... all by himself!!

Hi Mommy! Can I have that camera?

Kate is a hoot.  She will lean over and put her face in the water.  Usually she sticks her tongue out too.  (although when you try to wipe her face off after eating, she sticks her tongue out too!) I guess since you are washing her face, she thinks her tongue needs to be cleaned too!!

There is a HUGE umbrella in the pool which is wonderful.  In the 2nd picture Kate is wondering..."Am I missing something?!"

My cousin, Connor, came to visit last week.  We had a fantastic visit!!

Memorial Day and Ceramics

 Ok, so it's been awhile!  Sorry!! When I was looking at my camera I realized that I never put Memorial Day pics on here!

My college friend Walker came in from Louisiana, so how else do you welcome him, but have a crawfish boil!!!  Ok, well maybe I just really wanted some crawfish!  Anie (my college friend that lives in Houston) came with her husband as well as Lyle's brother and sister.  We did pretty good eating the 80 pounds of crawfish!!

This was Kate's first bite of crawfish!! Cajun girl!!

Since school has been out I have been enjoying doing some ceramics.  Eddie helped me model them!

He made this tractor all by himself!  Orange and green his favorite colors!

This is Eddie's birthday plate.  If you go back a few posts you will see Kate's birthday plate with the ladybug on it.

This didn't turn out quite how I expected.  It's Eddie and Kate's handprints and Kate's footpints.  It's supposed to look like flowers.  hmmmmm....

I'm REALLY excited about how this plate turned out!  The middle can be erased and changed for teh occasion.  The pictures don't do it justice it is REALLY cute!

I promise that I will do better about taking pictures, but I hope this helps Grandma with her Eddie and Kate fix.

New Braunfels Trip

    We just got back from a great trip to New Braunfels (for out of towners.... that is between Austin and San Antonio... about 3 1/2 hours from here).  Lyle's Sister (Pam) son got married.  Here are Chris and Stephanie.  It was cool because since Rusty is now a Deacon he was able to marry them.

After the ceremony was over and they were taking pictures Eddie asked "Is it time to go yet?  They already KISSED!!!"  "They have their rings too!!"  I haven't stopped laughing yet!!!

I debated on whether or not to take Kate's bonnet because I didn't think she would keep it on for more than a minute.  BUT SHE DID!!!  She wore it most of the time I had it on her!

Even in black and white she has piercing eyes!!

Kate was SO tired!  She took about a 3 hour nap at Aunt Pam's but she's used to 2 of those!

Kate was playing peek a boo with Daddy's tie.  It was precious!

This is Eddie showing off his new color wonder.  No, I am not above bribery.  He got this for sitting through the wedding without having to leave. (or be taken out!)

 Kate has gotten so she won't go to too many people.  She starts screaming when she goes to Grandma Moore.  (she added a head shake no... very adamently  last time!)  But, usually Uncle Mike can get her to let him hold her.

This is Pam's son in law Cole with Tristain.  Eddie LOVED getting to play with him.  (did you do the math?  I think that makes them 2nd cousins.)  "Come here Tristain!  Look Tristain!"

Eddie would blow bubbles and he would pop them.   They even both got "bo-bo's" from the night!

On our way home we stopped by the Natural Bridges Animal Safari.  It was SO COOL!!!!  It was like a zoo but better!  You drive over 200 acres of land.  They call it an "african safari, texas style."  The animals come right to your car and you feed them!

My camera battery stopped working, but the zebras and the ostrich were hilarious!  They were not shy!!!  They would stick their whole head in your car.

Eddie loved it too because he got to sit in the front seat.  Kate slept for most of it!  Poor baby she was WORN OUT!

Easter!

 I know... I am so late on getting Easter pictures up!  Easter was the week before Relay for Life.  Then Relay for Life (which was a rain or shine event) was cancelled.  It's just been crazy!!  But never fear! I do have pics!

Look Kate!! The Easter Bunny came!!

It took Eddie FOREVER to find the egg on his pirate ship.

The Easter bunny even hid some outside!!  But they didn't have any candy in them.  (but Eddie made sure to tell us they were empty EVERY time he found one!!

The Easter Bunny left eggs just for Kate on her house!!

So happy!  (the halloween basket worked great for Eggs!!)

Is Daddy home yet?  I've had my bath and now I'm watching for him!!

Eddie peeled his first crawfish last weekend!! I was such a proud Mommy!!!  He wants to go back and have some more "little lobsters!"
